SILK or thai silk for a custom dress we are making. we walked the textile souq today and didn't know where to begin. any suggestions would be great!

I bought crepe silk from Regal in satwa at the weekend. Its reduced to 40 AED a metre and they have some lovely colours.

I had a silk outfit made in satwa and the tailor sent me to Regal as he said they have the best selection of pure silk. We were in Satwa on the weekend and there are lots of sales in the textile stores due to DSF. In the textile souk you will tend to find wholesale merchants who are selling big lots of fabrics and do not necessarily sell to the consumer. In Satwa take a look at Regal and Deepaks, one of them has loads of silk upstairs but I can't remember which!
