AA, thank you for your elaboration, very useful. Could you share your source and also which seminar you are attending on this? I always try to get my info from as many different sources as possible. After writing the below I read the National, including recent statements from the AL. Seems some comments were misinterpreted. The human sacrifice just seems so futile. The way some leaders have been in power for years on end, it had come to an end. Definition of injustice has to be when a leader's [u'>family [/u'>is getting rich while others are starving.

What about national self determination? Does another country or body have the right to decide who should govern another country? Isn't it up to the people of that country to decide who governs them? Will it not now be a case of yet another Western puppet government being installed in another Muslim country?

I believe that when the decision was made there was not enough time to analyze every part of the resolution, and for sure some things were lost in translation (maybe?) anyway, it is a massive blow for those who thought it was going to be a fairly peaceful exercise.

I don't get this, maybe someone with more insight can explain. Is a "no fly zone" a matter of definition? Did the AL not know what it was? Has Western nations done more than what was agreed on? It makes me so sad as this seemed like such a clear case of good and bad, no grey areas. For once most nations were backing this up and supposedly even Arab nations would be enforcing. Did that not happen at all? I'm just so sad that it seems to once again be a them and us rhetoric :-(.
