Too funny. After two years in Dubai, we are heading home....I go in April and my husband in June.......so I will be there to vote!!!!lol Recent polls show that if there was an election SH would probably pull off a majority.....which after sitting with a minority gov't would be a big plus and finally give the government the power to actually do something. As for the visa issue.......lets rememember who brought in the new visa requirement....and I think that action will only make the Cdn gov't be even more steadfast. Also....... Alberta is set to get a new premier in the fall.....and that will be a change maker......as Alberta is finally starting to recover and typically leads the country in growth.......and transfer payments back to Ottawa!!!! (you can tell where my loyalties are....I'm a westerner!) I say let's get rid of Harper. Calgary finally surprised everyone and voted in Nenshi. Most of my friends voted for him. Just saw that Gary Mar is running for Tory leadership..... oh god!

"hang on to your lawn signs - It's going to be a wild week in Parliament!"lol..that say it all I think. Of course we are dull, thank goodness. No Earthquakes, tornados, civil wars (well, occassionally Quebec and the rest of the country go at it but not for long lol) our PM is pretty dull but getting a bit odd lately (horrors) not much happens on a large scale. We dont have any adulterous PM that we know about, our senate is so old they sleep most of the time, the people are very nice and polite and "I'"m sorry"comes 2nd nature whether they are in the wrong or not. We have very good beer. oh and in parts of Canada it would freeze the balls off a brass monkey. Whats to find exciting lol

So does the rest of the world, in reference to dull. Wasn't Pierre Trudeau good for a laugh at one time?

which is exactly why the current events are unusual so to speak. Perhaps its because I'm a nerd or have a vested interest in them calling an election for those of us living here in Dubai. If SH's out, chances are, the visa bullocks issue will go with him, more direct flights etc etc which for me makes it somewhat less boring than normal :)
