Is it possible to cancel a residency visa once back in uk?
My daughter has to return & there isnt time to get it cancelled before she leaves. She is on her husbands sponsorship, could she return her passport to his employers to get the visa cancelled? thanks for any help

Must have the passport though (i think). No you don't have to have the physical passport but you do have to pay extra to cancel it without it!!! We cancelled our daughters without having her passport! JA charged us a few hundred dirhams.

Get her husband to speak to the company & pro It can be done for freezone's as DH cancelled his ex-wifes when she went back to the uk he just had to take copies of her passport and visa and it was done in a day ( she had also been out of the country for more than 6 months at that point )

u must cancel before you go, of course if you do not come back after 6 months its cancelled automatically, but i would do it before you leave, just in case as it will cause many more problems for the sponsor etc.

She can cancel it at any DNRD within a few minutes or at the airport (i think). She must cancel it or she will face massive problems in the future.
