What happens if the period when you are to register your car comes during the time when you are out of the country? Would you be fined or is there some grace period? I was thinking of getting the car registered before leaving but just can't seem to find time even though the centre is very near to where I stay.

What happens if the period when you are to register your car comes during the time when you are out of the country? Would you be fined or is there some grace period? I was thinking of getting the car registered before leaving but just can't seem to find time even though the centre is very near to where I stay. xx as long as you renew insurance you are fine, you can do it early, but not too early, if you are late for the rego then you pay a fine per month, in abu its 10 dhs a month i think its more in dubai

Get it done before you go - last time I turned up as they opened and was all done and dusted within 30 minutes without paying for any express service - I just smiled at everyone and they rushed me through!

You drive up - straight to the window pass over your documents and money and it's done - drive off all reregistered.....
