hi ladies,
I am looking for a caterer for a 3 years old birthday party. I am thinking about finger food, canape or little sandwiches and birthday cake (and ideally that won't break the bank...). Any ideas? Thanks a lot

We will be around 15 adults and 10 kids (between 2 and 5 years old). Actually it is not a dinner, it is more like a afternoon gathering, so I would like sandwiches (and popcorn, great ideas) and a cake (if that makes sense)? Would love your details chippy, if you can mail me your friends caterers details? thanks a million, always very appreciated my email edenindubai@yahoo.com

Subway does big platters. then you can cut up to bite size. but i doubt the kids will eat sandwiches tho!

Hi, How many do you need to cater for & when? I've done most of my kids parties at home (live in Springs) Did chicken nuggets, pizza & sausages....all frozen and just cook in oven. And bowls of crisps & popcorn are always popular. Also made lasagne for the adults. Can make cakes....although they are very simple. Princess, castle, butterfly for the girl. Fire engine, car for the boy. I would be happy to help you if you wanted? I also have 2 good friends who make their own cakes and can give you the links to their FB pages so you can see their cake photos. Also have another friend who is a caterer and she does 'spanish delicacies' Let me know and if interested can give you my email/ phone no.

thanks a lot ladies. Park 'n shop is a bit far for me, but I might try to go and have a look. Lime tree seems great, but according to their price list on the website, it might be a little bit overpriced. Will still go tomorrow and see what platters they can arrange. As well as spinneys, that's great! Thanks again

hi eden, i got sandwiches done from spinneys. they cut them into 6 pieces...little bite sized pieces for kids. you can choose from any of their sandwiches. also got a platter done by them...they had mortadella and cheese and olives and cheese. there's a place called caesar's....if you google you'll find them. they're all over dubai. some stuff that they do is very nice. like their mini cheese pizzas. and then there's hot dog rolls. and some other mini stuff. chicken and olive tart/quiche. stuff like that. or you could get stuff from al reef.

More of a question than an answer, but could you just ask Park 'n Shop to make something up for you? I'm sure that would be affordable and probably very nice.
