My Mum and her DH will be entering the UAE on sunday.

Her DH has a Tourist Visa.

I have emailed a copy to them and have been told that he simply needs to take a copy with him and present it at immigration.

Can anybody verify this please? I just want to make sure I haven't been given incorrect or incomplete information.

Can't find details for the agency who are acting as sponsors so called Amer Service which is mentioned on the visa. Amer Service is a government department. The lady I spoke to asked if it is an online visa (lightbulb moment - the office guy mentioned 'online visa'). She said for that, the info I was given is correct and he just needs to present his copy. She did say however, if there's a problem the sponsor should attend with the original. Fingers crossed there's no problem, then.

When we've arranged visas for him in the past we've got the office guy (kind-of-PRO) to drop them at the airport the day before. He's now saying there's no need, just present the copy. It's been arranged through a travel agency so maybe they deposit the original at the airport. I guess I should see if I can get contact details for them and check with them. ETA, DH's company moved from one Free Zone to another so this is the first time a travel agency has been used. <em>edited by Sanddy_Dogg on 08/03/2011</em>

I arranged for a tourist visa for my boss' inlaws last week and I sent them a scanned copy and took the original visa's to the airport - we had arranged for the Marhaba service for them so I just took the actual visa's to them...
