My friends cat passed away a few days back and apparently he was on subscribed medication from the above mentioned vet, only to discover now while cleaning away the cat stuff, she checked the medicine... Low and behold the medicine says in the fine print, "NOT SUITABLE FOR CATS" and the vet is like, sorry my mistake... WTF.... I mean, so all my friend gets is an I'm Sorry and nothing else, what can be done about this, does anyone know or is it a lost cause??

Very sorry to hear about your friends cat. I work for a vet - do you know the name of the drugs that were prescribed? If you want I could ask my vet about them for you and let you know her opinion on them.

This is just so furstrating!! I mean even if that "very polite" vet apologized, that will not return the cat to life. In my opinion, the best to do is tell others about what European Vet did with the name of the doctor, because they might have other good vets and this vet specifically is not good. If that happended to my cat, I won't hold it, I will tell everyone I know about what they did.. I mean if the cat passed away because of a disease that could not be cured, that I understand... and mistakes do happen but for a vet not to know that a specific medicine is not suitable for cats.. well that is not acceptable.. I mean how did he or she become a vet? This story made me so angry.. I don't know if any of the ladies have other suggestions..
