I've started going back to the Dome again. We used to go the Jemierah Plaza branch all the time when we lived in Um Seq but it was too far to go from the Ranches. Now I like the one in Dubai Mall; the food is very nice and well priced. Last time I noticed the cupcakes and muffins are only 11dh and so much nicer than the ones in Costa etc which have a "mass-produced" taste. Staff are also helpful, when I asked for a breakfast item outside the set breakfast hours, the waitress checked with the kitchen rather than giving a standard "no" in reply. Also the put 2 teabags in a pot of tea rather than just one so you get a nice strong pot of tea:-) There's plenty of seating in both the Jumeriah & Dubai Mall branches but not all the chairs are comfy - it's a mix of armchairs and Bentwood chairs.

Thanks Claire. Does it have room for 15 - 20 in one area? Yes - I saw it set up for a baby shower a while ago and it looked superb. Got a bit of a Gary Rhodes Mezzanine feel about it - very nice. Call them and ask to speak to the manager he was a really nice guy.

I love Circle opposite the Jumeirah Beach Park - stunning interior - better carrot cake than the Lime Tree (IMO) and superb other cakes - plus very very good coffee and a good selection of teas. Its on the first floor of teh beach park plaza centre.
