I plan to rent my apartment directly with my landlady next year without the agent, but she says I will have to pay the municipality fee. What is this and is it my responsibility?

The Municipality or Housing fee, is the responsibility of whoever is living in the property. It's 5% of your annual rent, divided by 12 and it comes as part of your DEWA bill.

Do they mean housing fee? If so I pay this through my DEWA bill and it is 5% of the annual rent divided by 12 If so then yes you are liable for it.
