You really need 2 cars.... Picture this. Morning - kids mucking around getting ready for school so you are running late,DH is tapping foot as he need to get to work.... Because you are running 5 minutes late the traffic situation has changed and it is bumper to bumper from the kids school to DH works... As we know in busy cities 5 minutes late in rush hour traffic can mean a lot of sitting in traffic. No mother needs that stress every morning.... You only need to have the stress of getting your children to school... Not DH to work...lol Also 2 kids - weekend activities - sport - parties in opposite directions and opposite direction could be the other side of Dubai not 5 minutes down the road. For the cost of a cheaper run around car I would not contemplate having one car with children. P.S the morning story is made up it is not my family ...thank goodness

Depends on timing and locations... if possible, i like Kells Bells' reply of dropping hubby off in morning and letting him make his own way home..will he not need a car at all during the day ?? If not then it does seem a waste..Mine's always had a company car so i've been fortunate enough to have had my own and sometimes wonder how i would ever manage without it but loads of people do...Bit harder here but i'm sure you can work something out..

Mum gets the car, takes DH to work after school drop offs. Picks DH up on days convienient for her otherwise DH gets a taxi home. You could always pick up a second Hand small car for DH, won't be too expensive but then u have to factor in service costs whereas with a taxi, it's just the fare.

I'd say you need two cars. It will be a real hassle to bring the kids out with you to pick up your DH from work and also a real hassle if you can't do anything during the day because you have no car. Get two cars. One could be nice and the other one could be a used Yaris or Tiida, for example.
