Hello ladies,

I urgently need help as we need to find a new appartment soon.
We will probably move to JLT or Marina, but not sure where to move to.

Are there any towers which are childfriendly (maybe a playground or little park outside, or an indoor playground) It should be also in walking distance to the metro station.

Thanks very much in advance for your help.

Thanks again to everybody. We will have a look at the towers mentioned, but so far I only found vacant appartments in Icon Tower, Arch Tower, Global Lake views, but will do a search again. It is important for me to live close to a little park or playground

I think The Waves is particularly child friendly with the playroom and excellent kids pool.

I don't know why nobody has been on here singing the praises of JLT! We currently live in Al Shera tower, just above Park N Shop and next to the JLT Metro. There are lots of kids here, a clean pool upstairs and a child's rec area. Check out the threads on EW for the best JLT towers which, as you said, are a lot more affordable than the Marina and you get a much larger floorspace. There's also plenty of grocery stores and shops opening up, and the paved area around the lakes is also coming online.

bump ! Anz childfriendly towers in JLT? It seems to be cheaper which suits us more. TIA JLT is still very much work in progress in terms of pavements and there's a lot of road crossing to get anywhere. basically, it's not built for buggies (although I have to say, I managed to get around with minimal inconvenience). There's a little playground just opened up near cluster... er... E? No shade, mind, but hey. Also, if you just cross the JLT Metro overpass, there's another little semi-shaded playground right at the exit.

Azure doesn't have a ramp up to the main entrance though - you'd have to walk the buggy through the car park. Big fat FAIL for us.

There is also Cascades, Marina Mansions, Yacht Bay, Marina Sail and Damac Waves. Horizon Tower has big 4bd apartments but no water in the pool for a good few months??. All the rest have pools, gyms etc. Al Majara is a collection of towers with nice facilities and some nice ground floor apartments that may be more child friendly.

A friend lives in Trident Oceanic which has a playground in it, right next to Marina metro station - I think it's quite small but OK for young kids.

Hiya In the marina you have Azure, Marina Reasidence, La Riviera that are all right next to a metro station (JLT station) and a small outdoor childrens park. Not sure about the other amenities in them but these may be a start for you. Also a supermarket, cafes and 10 mins walk to JBR beach. HTH to get you started in your search. Have a drive around the area around the Yacht Club. Many security guys have keys to empty apartments and you can check out the facilities at the same time.
