Just wondering where I need to take the maid for the medical, someone told me behind the mazaya centre on sheik zayed rd, also seen satwa and iranian hospital mentioned.

Also do I need to go too? (I'd have to drag two toddlers in tow and not very appealing idea), can I just drop the maid off with the money and the document? Or is there any reason I need to be there & sit around and wait?

Al Wasl road all to the end, Al Diyafah/Al Wasl Junction . On the right corner you will see Al Ghazal Mall were Mr Ben's closet is. http://www.mrbendubai.com/contactus.html Turn right on the Al Diyafah road, go straight untill you see a big round about with a fountain in the middle (I think) turn right which is Al Satwa Road, drive on till you see a Mosque on left hand side, drive on 100 meter and park your car on the right side of the road. On the left side is the Medical center.

Thanks - but where exactly in Satwa is this place? I called the number on the website and the person who answered the phone was very polite but could hardly speak english and could explain to me where the place is.

I have outlined the process to be done for the medical in the below link: http://www.expatwoman.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=136964 No you don't have to be with the maid but make sure you go in very early. This process is for Satwa. I don't know about the other centers. Icedqueen has given the perfect way how this procedure needs to be done. Just wanted to add, that they open at 7 am, and I can advise you to be there at 7 am, because if it gets too crowded they just close the gates and you have to come back another time. This happened to me 2 times. Second if your maid gets to the ladies area and nobody is behind counter 5 to help, look out for the security guy, because he will give out the numbers and is walking around.

My maid went to the one in Satwa all by herself but she has been in Dubai for 2 years. You don't have to go with your maid but just make sure you don't give her the EXACT amount as you never know....things here change quite often and without notice.
