I have two cats, who are essentially indoor cats but go on our terrace and have the odd little jaunt. They always come back when called and never stay out.
Last night a big ginger stray which has been floating around the flat came and attacked one them - he fled off petrified last night and has not returned........I am so worried as this cat is very responsive to my voice so I am at a loss what to do next.
I have been calling him, slept with the window open last night in case he was making a noise but just his sister being sad was all I heard.
Obviously I can't leave the door ajar when I go to work as the ginger one may return and don't want him coming in or my other cat getting out - any more suggestions would be greatfully received.
TIA :(

Keep looking in the same area around your house, I think if he is an indoor cat, he won't go too far, he might be hiding somewhere near.. Keep looking at night and inform guards and maids as much as you can.. posters will do a great help.. I hope you find him soon and I hope he is somewhere safe.. xxxx

JS - an apartment in the Old Town, but it's on the first floor so they can jump onto the roof of the souk next door. So plenty of places to explore if they venture further - hoping he has just lost his way a bit as I know it can take a few days to get their sense of direction back if they go too far! Did the biscuit thing, have popped home for an hour and put some tuna outside too to see if that will tempt him out. Will do biscuits again tonight too and get some posters made - he is wary of strangers but even if he has just been spotted it would help ;o( I am a nanny and find it less stressful looking after kids!!! Thanks

Natalie, so you live in a villa or apartment? Most of the times, cats are found on the same street of where they live but will he hiding. Of course leaflets with the cat's photo and your contact number must be distributed to all neighbours around and to vets. You must start your search by sunset, focus first on the street where you live, and carry with you some of his favorite biscuit... I think SueB will give you a better and more suggestions.. I hope you find him soon..

Oh your poor meow. The only thing I can think of is waiting till its quiet at night, and shaking biscuits around, calling your cats name... hope you find him soon :(
