Moving London to Dubai....questions please help!!
Hi Everyone,
I am hoping you can help me!! Just some background I am in my mid 30s married with a 1 year old son. I have been offered a 12 month contract role in Dubai 45,000 AED per month that is inclusive of everything incl. accommodation. I have always wanted to live in Dubai (I've been there 4 or 5 times before) so here are my questions:
1. Is that salary enough to maintain a good standard of living and be able to save?
2. How much would a decent 3 bed villa cost? Having done some research I am thinking around 190000 yearly is that correct and what areas would you recommend?
3. Do most places accept 5 post dated cheques because I would not have the funds for the upfront cost of a years rent! (The company will provide hotel accommodation for the first 2 weeks)
4. What is the cost of utilities on average per month?
5. I have been told they will provide a medical card for me only - what does that mean and how much would private health insurance cost for my husband and son?
6. How much is it to rent a good car including insurance etc? (we drive a BMW in London so would like something of a similar standard).
7. How much is a full time nanny/maid paid on average?
