I just bought another bra today that I thought was comfy and supportive and I'm wrong AGAIN. I'm so bummed because it's obviously something you have to wear every day and I just can't find one. I'm a bit sensitive--as in everything I try on either pinches, itches or digs in. I even went up a size around the bust to give me some more room and it still digs in. This bra felt comfy in the shop but now I'm regretting yet another purchase. Argggh! very frustrated. I really just want a soft, comfy, non-diggy-inny and somewhat supportive bra. I used to wear the old spanx bra but they changed how they made it and now I don't like the new version. Really the only bra I like is a cheap, old jockey that has no support.
any suggestions?
and yes, I'm probably one of those 8/10 women who are wearing the wrong bra size. but nothing I try on seems to fit or be comfy.

Hi Shanti, Many years ago I used to fit bras in a department store, it's important to get measured correctly otherwise they will be uncomfortable. Not sure who would do that here. I only wear Bendon bras and love them, have never had one that has been uncomfortable. http://www.bendon.com/collections/?item=330-BLAK have a look at their website. Will also depend what style you want too, but for under t-shirts/shirts these are great. I tend to get them back home but they do stock some of the styles here. Might be worth a try.

If you have a larger bust, I have found that the bigger branches of BHS (like in MCC) often have a good selection of bras with cup sizes up to F, that are even nice looking and not something not even Granny would wear. And always try on every piece. Last time I went bra shopping I came home with 3 bras in 3 different sizes and they all fit well - they were just differently made with different shapes. Debbenhams also has a good selection, but I've found only for the more conventional cup sizes. But other than that I really feel for you, I hate bra shopping and have bought quite a few pieces that ended up unworn.

Just remembered the brand I used to wear before PrimaDonna. Also lovely, but was more difficult to source at the time, so I changed over ... Vanity Fair. Gorgeous. Beautifully well-fitting and long-lasting. http://www.vanityfairlingerie.com/portal/site/vflingerie/home/

I don't even bother buying them in Dubai [though I realise this isn't the most helpful comment on this thread, sorry!'>; I either buy from my fave bra shopfront in the UK when I'm visiting - Rigby & Peller - or I order from their website and have them shop'n'shipped. My current favourite -- well, the brand has been my favourite for quite a few years now -- is PrimaDonna. They come with all the architectural and engineering basics I require for a good fit, they're pretty, they come in both glorious and 'standard' colours, and they last for AGES. :)

There are some boutique underwear shops in the small malls in jumeriah, perhaps go there and get a proper bra fitting. If you go on to www.bravissimo.com there are some really good tips on how to get a good fitting bra.

Try Chantelle bras. They are excellent. Expensive but I think they are great. In the summer, july, they always go on sale at debenhams for like 60 aed! Thats when I stock up :)
