I am planning to go to AbuDhabi tomorrow with my 3 kids (8,6 & 3 yrs old) & my mom(she is around 62). Any ideas, suggestions. we are thinking to go to Grand Mosque first then don't know:D where.
this is my first time to go to Abu Dhabi & I need your valuable guidance. how to reach there. what time we have to start etc etc
Dos & Don'ts with kids. I hope tomorrow will not be a windy DAY.

Last day trip with guests started early as we got a lift from DH going to work. We started at the Shangri-La Hotel for long and leisurely buffet breakfast. On to the Grand Mosque. Over to the Emirates Palace (The embroidery exhibition was on at the time - there might be something new on) Coffee & cakes at Emirates Palace. (Planned to have lunch there but too full after breakfast!) On to Marina Mall. There is a revolving restaurant at the top of marina Mall. We went in just for coffee. Great views. Takes around an hour to do 360 degrees (2 coffees!) Planned to do the Heritage Village next to Mall but never got round to it - next time! Edited as I got the breakfast hotel wrong first time! Have a great day whatever you choose. edited by buttonmoon on 02/02/2011 thanks buttonmoon for good wishes

You'll be fine. Like Sundevil says, its an easy route if you stick to 30th street. I miss Ab Dabs. x

Forgot to tell you, after you finish the mosque tour, drive straight down 30th and it dead ends into the spot where you rent the carts and the resturants. Very easy drive. that is also a great idea.

After the Grand Mosque you could park at Marina Mall and maybe visit The Heritage Centre which is close by. Then have a walk along the corniche, stopping off at one of the cafe/restaurants along the way.

Why not go to the Corniche and rent those bike/car things? Your mom can sit and have a coffee and you and the kids can rent a four seater and go for a spin. They have single seaters too. Afterwards y'all could cool off with some ice cream or enjoy a cinnamon roll.
