Can anyone recommend a baby friendly photography shop to get some passport photos for my 8 month old? Preferably near Dubai marina.

Just be mindful that there are a few requirements (ie both ears showing etc) that can differ from country to country. I know the Kodak shop in Spinneys has a list of all different country's specifics. We took a photo of our baby ourselves as its so difficult to get their eyes open etc... You could try laying your baby on a white sheet and taking the photo from above them. Hope this helps
