We are off there on our holidays in June been looking for a car from Larnaca ridiculously expensive tried hertz but they are looking for over GBP 500 for a two week vacation seems very high or am i just out of sync with the costs over there these days been about 4 years since i was last there anyone know of any reasonable places to hire a car, would it be cheaper to do it when we arrive at the airport?

Last June we booked a car via easycar (we have relatives living there and they told us to book this as they didn't find anything cheaper locally) it was a small manual car (all that was left) for 5 days was about 180- 200 gpb (inc. firstl tank petrol, every imaginable insurance, etc). So I would say based o last year the 500 for 2 weeks in June sounds about right. Edited to add that previsouly we hired another small car for 5 days in April for half this price. When we asked in June again the same local company they told us that was their winter price. <em>edited by Estelle on 31/03/2011</em>

Regency They have a website, best to book in advance in high season, they are much cheaper than Herz etc and very helpful Failing that I can do you a broomstick and cat ;) bats are extra. Edited to add, this is a long running SW joke.........but seriously try Regency Car Hire, they haven't let us or any visitors down and are much cheaper than the multinationals. <em>edited by Livelytrish on 31/03/2011</em>
