Thanks, JS. Just keep me posted with that one. Yes, there was a Husky puppy on Dubizzle a little while ago - all white with blue eyes. My friend actually went and had a look at it.... One big scam artist, I can tell you! The ad said, he lives in MotorCity, but my friend had to go to Deira to see the pup (?). That chap imports pups from Thailand somewhat "professionally" and sells them here. He wanted 5000 for it, with passport, but no papers. As usual the pup was much younger then the minimum age required (4 months) to enter the UAE. Probably 8-10 weeks. I wasn't even sure whether it really was a purebred Husky, it look very much like it has had some Spitz-influence. But I've only seen pictures, could have been the colour that gave the impression. Starfishalicja, I'll e-mail you. Thanks. Sandra

Hi Sandra, it seems that Husky got an owner as he is microchipped. They are waiting for the owner to come and contacted him already (as per my info), however if no owner showed up and Husky is up for adoption, I will let you know. I've seen a Husky sometime back on dubizzle but I don't think that will be for free adoption!! In any case, If I ever get info on Husky for adoption, I will keep you in mind ;)

6 dogs were adopted early morning from municipality today. I will put a new update of available dogs for adoption within the day. Thank you to all ladies who look to adopt and save a dog's life instead of buying from expensive pet shops. Hi JS, How can DM play ping pong with the same guy over and over again is beyond me even after being here for many years :( My friend has taken one of the labs and I'm glad to hear the other 5 have gotten out too. I still am looking for an other dog but am looking for a larger breed as my one is very active and 'bored' by small dogs she can't tug & war with. Please keep me in mind :)

Sorry for that Starfish :( and guess what?? This is the 5th time the same owner hands over dogs to municipality and take them back!!! They still have a lab mix and Colli that need to be out today and there is an adult lab mix that will be there until Monday. Also a Huskey was handed over to municipality yesterday if anyone is interested. And there is also a Dalmatian (not OK around small children) for adoption but not at the municipality (let me know if anyone is interested).

I wanted to take the Rottie home today even though the DM wanted an ridiculous 1000 dirhams to release her. I was all excited to find a companion to our dog and rescue a dog from irresponsible hands at the same time. Just to find out late yesterday evening that DM sent the two BACK to their owner :( :( :(

Exactly :( Animal Lovers are trying to create more awarness about animals. Many tried with Arabic newspapers to publish some articles about pets.. but no one agreed so far :( Only English magazines have sections about pets and always English newspapers bring the pets' subject either positively or negatively.. But not all people read English..

Ok, doesn't quite sound like the same scenario, but shame on that guy! They always want those powerful breeds and then, when they can't handle them anymore, they throw them out...

JS, do you have any more details on the Rottie? I'm not looking to adopt, I have my hands full with my own two, but a little while back I had a young female Rottweiler in training, owned by an arab guy. After only 2 months he gave her away, because his new maid doesn't like dogs (don't ask about my reaction to that). One of his friends took her on and I haven't seen her since. I'm just terrified that he will also lose interest and she may end up somewhere or Municipality. Thanks for your help. Sandra
