Choose were you live wisely, close to work and school and even better if it's public transport nearby. Think twice if you need to make that trip to the shop, could maybe wait until tomorrow. Personally it's as much about the environment impact as the money.

Try Sharekni or Carpool Arabia to share rides with other people. Take the public transport system. Get a bike. Walk.

WALK. ;) Seriously though some suggestions. Try not to drive during rush hours. Only drive when necessary. Try not to carry unnecessary weight. DH will make me walk. lol Check tyre pressures regularly.
