Hi we are leaving our villa and garden in Umm Suqeim after 15 years to return to the UK. The compound sadly is being demolished and we would if possible like to find a good home for our plants and trees.
Me too. Interested if you end up having any plants left that are looking for a new home. :-)

Good lawn grass will need to be watered about everyday for about 8 months of the year - but you have quite a small area. There is a substance can be added to soil to make it retain water but it is not permanent or cheap. Why not visit garden centers to look for plants you like and ask for advice regarding putting down grass/lawn/turf which they will probably do and the watering costs? Also look for gardening books for very dry hot locations. Perhaps a good smaller very green lawn area mixed with a gravel area might be a compromise. Awnings to give shade might help cut cost of watering. The "4 small trees" might become 4 large trees, depending what they are, fill the whole area and take all the water.
Hi ! I have a small 35sq m patch which is currently only sand and 4 small trees. I wish to have natural grass but installation charges and water bills are scaring me.
Pls share your experiences with me to help me decide between turf and natural grass.
Also if anyone can recommended a good Gardner ( umm suqeim area) who can help me set up my garden at reasonable cost, it will be great help.
Thank you
