Thanks Green-ish.
We dog sat over the weekend a friends desert dog and my poor little JR was so harrassed, he kept coming up to me, with these big eyes , saying- who is this dog and why are they bugging me!!
Poor baby, i swear the minute the other dog left last night, he was unconcious asleep.
So, i decided against another dog- for my JR and hubbies sake!!
Thanks for the advice tho!
I can speak from personal experience...if your husband is not 100% on board, DO NOT get the other dog. Some of the EW members here will remember only too well what happened with our gorgeous adopted dog when my husband got honest about his feelings. Save yourself the heartache and enjoy the one dog you already have. :)
thanks, i found a lovely female mixed with a JR breed, perfect on friends of animals dubai. But now my hubbie is backing out. Saying that he is a definite no ( he is home all day so its him minding the 2 of them) but i get the final decision.....
Grrrrr, i dont want to force him or have him throw it in my face if she is naughty.... i dont know what to do now....
She is an adorable stray looking to be adopted...... Aghhhh!
Any advice?
I have seen a couple of Shih Tzus, Chihuahuas and other small breeds on Dubizzle lately. But be careful with that, they may just want to sell them.
Desert dogs will be medium to large size in most cases, but I'm sure one of the smaller ones (maybe about knee-hight) would make a great playmate for your JR. More important than the size is the energy level of both the dogs. It has to match. Maybe just go and visit K9 Friends and get a feeling for the sizes and kinds of dogs they have at the moment. Take your hubbie with you so he can see as well.

:) ...and when you call K9 for the appointment, ask if you can take your JR with you so you can see how he gets on with any potential playmates while on neutral turf.

Hi,
So, i am desperate to get another dog for my 8month old Jack Russell. I would love any dog but preferably a smalerl one.(think a dog as big as a lab wouldnt be ideal with a little JR to play with)
I want to get a desert dog but my husband is adamant that IF we get one, it has to be small like the JR.
So, does anyone know of any terriers- Jack Russel or Yorkshire etc that are up for adoption?
ive searched through all the Websites- dubizzle, SAD, K9,etc but no luck.
Anyone know of any?
I thought of getting a cat (i had 3 when i lived back home before getting married) but again my hubbie is putting his foot down! :(
