HI ladies. Got an appointment first thing tomorrow morning for ID card. On typed form it said under 15 year olds do not need to attend for the biometrics but government website says as of Sept 2010 that they do? Anyone know which it is? I've already submitted her form and photo on blue background for registration along with our forms but only myself and DH got appointments via SMS so I just presumed she would be on one of our cards and that was the end of it. TIA

My 10 year olds didn't have to attend and forms were submitted at the same time as mine. I received mine almost 5 months ago, as did DH, but still waiting for the boys to come. Keep emailing them, but nothing you dont actually have to have the card in order to any of the paperwork, as long as you have the receipt, and in abu dhabi for eg where you need it for certain things like new driving licence and rego. it doesnt matter if you dont get the kids one, where will they need to show it. nowhere unless the government hospitals soon require to show it there.

TIA if they are 15 they have to attend and have finger prints etc done, if not 15 then you need to bring blue piccies thats all. everyone has to have an id card, only 14 and under do not need to attend with you

I did ours about a month ago and dragged the kids (2 & 5) along only to be told it wasn't necessary - their cards will come automatically with mine if you've done the application you've already described.
