somewhere in the Marina that does alterations for ladies clothes and wont charge an arm and a leg? I have a couple of pair of trousers that need a hem up so nothing complicated just dont want to pay a fortune or have to wait 2 weeks for it to be done. I am in the marina and dont have a car but happy walking to JBR or getting the metro if there is somewhere close by. TIA

We went to the guy in Ibn Battuta once and he did my husbands suit pants in an hour, and charged him 30 dirhams, so that might be worth aiming for if you have to public transport it there.

last time i went, the man took dhs15, but he'll start with 20 and you'll have to bring him down .. on good days he'll take 10 :) , maximum time he's taken with me is 4 days for two pairs of jeans .. ETA: maximum because it was eid <em>edited by ashesf on 28/03/2011</em>

Take metro to Ibn Battuta and then opposite New Look store there is an alley to the restrooms, at the bottom of the alley on the left there is a doulble door saying staff only, go through and keep walking. Inside there is a tailor that does woman's clothing.
