Which car seat for holiday traveling? Graco v M'Care v Sit n Stroll

What do people do for carseats when they travel around on holiday with a toddler (over 9kg and 2yrs+)?

We're thinking of taking a holiday where we'll be out and about, sometimes using a rental car and sometimes hopping into taxis (which means we'll have to carry the car seat around with us in the streets/shops).

We use Maxi Cosi car seats for our LO in our cars in Dubai, and we're very happy with them, but we don't want to take these with us in case they get damaged in transit - plus they are really heavy!

So I've been looking around for combination carseats (highback harness boosters for children over 9kg) and I've narrowed it down to two:
1) Graco Nautilus - really comfy and safe, but very heavy at 12kg, so not sure how it will work lugging this around with us.
2) Mothercare Advance seat - really lightweight and I can imagine it will be easy to carry around, but I'm worried that it won't be as safe because it is so lightweight it looks like it might crumple in an accident (it felt around 2-3kg). But it's Mothercare, so I'm assuming it should be safe even if it doesn't look or feel as safe as the Graco. Right???
3)Sit n Stroll - have seen them around, not sure about their safety record and not sure where to buy one.

Are there any other car seats I should be looking for? What's a good lightweight Britax? What do other people do for a good lightweight carseat that they have to lug around? HELP!

Thanks BB! I just bought the Mothercare Advance because I saw it half-price on sale. I'm still in two minds about it, but it was inexpensive enough that if I decide to buy another instead to travel with, it won't be much money lost. Does anyone else use the Motehrcare Advance carseat? Any opinions on it?

Hiya. We use a mother care advance when travelling back to the UK. Does the job fine (infact have a friend that uses that one as her permanent car seat here with no issues). Easy to carry round as so light. Only issue I have with it is that DD finds it impossible to sleep as her head always droops forward. She won't wear a neck pillow. I've never had to drive long distances though where it would have been a problem. HTHs.
