This past weekend I stayed at the Golden Tulip Dibba (Oman, Dibba). I stay there once a year at about the same time. The hotel is run down a bit (needs a major renovation), but is okay. What makes the difference is the way the staff and the new GM treat guests. They were very eager to please and went out of their way to meet our needs.
Has anyone any recent recommendations, please? Some friends stayed at the Royal Beach Hotel last November - the rooms were nice, beautiful views, but sand full of litter/cigarette stubs and it seemed to be a stopping point for coachloads of Russians.
ETA: I see I don't mean Dibba, but Al Aqah.
