Due to returning to work, ours will need to do full days, but all nurseries seem to be virtually empty in the afternoons, do you know any that are nicely busy in the afternoons??

Hi Jules, We are also in AR, and our LO does full days at Children's Oasis in Umm Suqeim. Hot lunch is provided, and she has a long nap in a very quiet room (usually on her own with a supervisor) as there aren't that many toddlers who stay the full day and need the nap. When she wakes up, she joins the busy afternoon class. This works for us, and you can make it in 20 mins on a good run! x

Emirates British Nursery in Mirdif has busy classes in the afternoon and also has a large sleeping room, children who need to nap have their needs well taken care of. They don't do food, but I quite often send food that needs heating for my dd and it's no problem.

Yeah by full dyas i mean that offer a decent place to sleep ans ideally food, and when you look for that the choice is narrower i agree! Also we're in AR so limited choice around here....

Hi Jules, what do you mean by offering full days? do they offer the program for a full day? or do they offer program for full day including hot meals and nap times? if latter, there were certainly not many such nurseries when I was looking for one last year. Few of them I found were in Umm Suqeum, the other side of town from where I am. I think Dubai moms are not lucky at all, cause they have to spend money for half day nursery and baby sitting/nanny in the afternoon, just so they LOs will have decent meal and nap in the afternoon till parents are back home.

Dramaqn, there are now many that offer full days and all year, they all just seem to be empty in the afternoons! I guess most Dubai mums are lucky enough not to have to work.....

Nurseries over here are not structured for full days, cause no provision of hot meals and nap area. So would probably advise you to look for a nursery that do provide hot food and nap area. Not sure which area you live/work in, but there are few in Umm Suqueium and YBN on Garhoud.
