@hilsbils - I only met with dr.fakih once during my last cycle so I didn't get a lot from him. It was his team that I was so impressed with. Madonna the head nurse is so lovely and caring and always took time to explain things to me. All the other nurses have also been lovely. Since almost the first day of treatment they learnt me by first name and always made me feel comfortable and put my mind at ease.

Hi gr_dxb, its interesting to see how well informed you are using Dr Fakih. We went to see him knowing nothing at all but chose not to go with him as there was so little information and I didnt feel my particular issues were going to be tested / or taken into consideration. A bit like the wizard of oz hiding behind the screen ! I know he has a good record but since I have too few eggs to mess with, we decided on another doctor. How have you found your treatment there? I suppose if you have had it done before and know your details its easier to go with a doctor like that but I felt we were starting out in the dark, and came away more confused. My AMH levels were very low which probably explains the dosage. I was on B&M for 4 days and start Gonal F tomorrow. Its been a rollercoaster emotionally.

@hilsbils - every ivf protocol is different depending on hormone levels, follicles, egg growth etc. On my first cycle I was on gonal f 300ml once a day for about 10 days. This time I was only on gonal f for 4 days and now am on menopur twice a day for at least 5 days. After each u/s & blood test your doc reviews the results and recommends the next steps. @nicky1md - thanks for the info. I'll head over to medcare tonight as recommended by fakih - hopefully the wait wont be too long.

Ladies.... Im so curious now. How do you have your injections at Fakih? I only have once per day - think its 9 small ampules of B and M (cant spell either med name) at the same time but not morning and evening. Im with Dr Munira at Dubai Mall med who uses Conceive for the extractions

Good luck with your treatments ladies xx Just wanted to say i went to Medcare for my injection when Fakih was closed. They must be really used to this happening, as exactly at 9pm i was having my injection. It was no problem at all.

Very good luck to you. I just realised that Dubai Mall is not open 24/7, but are open on Fridays but maybe not early morns or evening. Please call ahead to check their opening times. I also hope they will do it even if your doc is not there. I should have thought of that before recommending them. But worth calling and asking cos its so close to you.

This is my second cycle (first one failed in march). Am currently on day 8. The gonal f knocked around a bit. Hoping menopur will be kinder! I usually do the injections at the clinic but they're not open tomorrow evening or Friday and I don't really fancy having to deal with the Welcare emergency room on a weekend...

Hiii ! I am having it done too. I got into the Dubai Mall medical centre every day and the nurses there do it for me. There is a nursing charge I think (I am paying for a package) Ask for Lourdes or Amy but I think they are both off on Fridays. My treatment is different to yours. My injections are every day at 2pm and not in evenings / mornings. Im on day 4. How do you feel?

I am currently undergoing ivf treatment and need to have an injection tomorrow night, Friday morning and Friday evening when my ivf clinic is closed. They have told me to go to the emergency room at Welcare to have them done (menopur administered intramuscularly) unless I can find a nurse to give them to me. Was wondering if anyone has the number of a nurse who could come to my house to give me the injections. Am in downtown. TIA
