Just days into the New Year and the UAE government is already dazzling us with future plans for the country. With all that this city has to offer, if you’ve thought that Dubai has peaked, you are completely wrong. The Palm and the Dubai Marina are one of the most sought-after areas here and we’re about to have a new suburb built right in between!
The project is called Dubai Harbour and it is being developed by Meraas. That’s the same company that developed City Walk, The Beach, Outlet Village, Boxpark and the Last Exits, so we know it won’t disappoint!

It’s expected to take about four years to complete, but the start date is yet to be declared. This new development will be integrated with SkyDive Dubai, the Dubai International Marine Club and the Logo Island.

Spreading over 20 million square feet in total, the Dubai Harbour will have:
- High- and low-rise residential buildings, waterfront villas and houses.
- A shopping mall covering 3.5 million square feet.
- An events arena, hotels, offices, retail stores, public services and restaurants.
- MENA’s largest marina, featuring 1,400 berths and a cruise ship port.
- A 135-metre-high Dubai Lighthouse. The building’s exterior will serve as a gigantic screen for light shows and high resolution projections. It will also feature a luxury hotel.
- Walking and bicycle tracks connecting it to Palm Jumeirah.
- Roads designed to host Formula races.
We'll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
