DXB International Airport Saw The Busiest Inflows From North America And Africa

The Dubai International Airport saw the most influx of passengers from those two regions this year

Passengers travelling from North America and Africa are most recorded in DXB airport

Almost 7.2 million passengers travelled through the Dubai International Airport this year and it was recorded as the world’s busiest airport.

And flights from North America and Africa were recorded as the busiest this year.

However, India remains to be Dubai’s top country by volume – with 957,748 passengers every month.

Flight from the United Kingdom have a volume of 538,199 travellers per month and Saudi Arabia with 454,929 per month.

With most of the busy flights coming out of the following cities:

  • London – 329,778 travelers to Dubai
  • Mumbai – 199,829 travelers to Dubai
  • New Delhi – 170,122 travelers to Dubai

More baggage than travelers

And if you thought the number of passengers arriving at DXB International Airport was plenty, the baggage claimed during the past year was at 6 million pieces of luggage.

In September alone, almost 221,213 tonnes of cargo was handed at the airport in Dubai – making today tonnes for cargo in 2018 at 1,932,492.
