Travellers Beware: This Is The Busiest Day To Fly Out Of Dubai In December

With Christmas around the corner...

It’s inevitable that most around the UAE will be flying back home to celebrate the festive season with their friends and family.

And while some opt to avoid the hectic journey back to their homeland, others will go to great lengths to have a memorable Christmas.

Even when it means travelling on the busiest day expected his weekend – with an estimated 12,000 travellers in DXB Airport.

Travellers who have flights this weekend have been urged by airlines and DXB airport to factor in enough time to get done with the whole airport procedure.

With thousands and thousands of passengers expected this weekend to fly out of Dubai, flyers are expected to arrive at least three hours prior to departure.

Flying out this weekend?

If you’re flying out this weekend, Dubai’s based airline, Emirates, has announced that DXB’s International Airport’s terminal 3 will be very busy on Friday and Saturday – with more than 100,000 passengers expected.

But that’s not officially the busiest predicted day…with winter less than two weeks away – December 14 is officially the busiest day to fly out of Dubai.

As for the weekend after, traffic is also expected to pick up again at the International Airport in Dubai on December 21 and December 22 – just a few days before the Christmas holidays.

Why is the airport so busy?

The winter season is a busy time in the UAE, especially with the winter holidays and Christmas season taking place in December too.

Most families take advantage of this festive season and the holidays in winter break as schools have announced almost three weeks off for private and public schools in Dubai.

Schools will officially seize teaching from December 16, giving students from two to three weeks of holiday vacations in December – classes will resume January 6 onwards.
