The geekiest time of the year is back with full force!

Dive into a world full of creativity, imagination, action, and colours as the annual Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) returns for another epic edition from March 5 - 7 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Along with a spectacular line-up of celebrities including Disney Aladdin's Mena Massoud and DC Superman's Brandon Routh, artist alleys, cosplay competitions, live performances, brands, and activations, MEFCC is also bringing you a must-visit schedule of workshops and panels.

Covering a wide range of all your favourite topics in the comic, cosplay, film, hobby, and pop culture sphere, participants will find insightful and educational workshops from comic drawing masterclasses to comic career tips!

A Life in Comics with Renee Witterstaetter

MEFCC will be having an in-depth public interview with Renee Witterstaetter - writer, colourist, editor, and agent for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and Thanos Quest, Jurassic Park, and more.

It's also a fantastic opportunity for artists as Witterstaetter will be reviewing portfolios at the table, so don't hesitate to bring your best work and your most pressing questions!

Cosplay Competitions with Kaoru Lily & Rei Suzuki

Learn everything you need to know about cosplays and cosplay competitions from past World Cosplay Summit winners Kaoru Lily and Rei Suzuki.

The professional cosplayers will give new and veteran cosplayers their tips and tricks on the basics of acting out your roles, how to prepare for your performance, what you can expect from competitions, and the best inspiration for your future cosplay shows.

Pitching Your Comic Book with Andrew Clemson

This workshop will explain how to best present your comic book projects to potential collaborators, publishers, and agents.

Learn how to put together an effective comic book pitch and help get your foot in the door of the comic book publishing industry. Workshop participants aren't required need to have a project ready for pitching, but if you have a portfolio ready, Clemson will be able to give his review and best advice.

Build Your Own Gundam with Otaku ME

Join Otaku ME, the region's biggest provider for gundam kits, for a fun hands-on experience building your first plastic Gundam robot! Without using paint or glue, participants will discover an exciting new hobby that develops creativity and understanding of mechanical principles.

Plastic model kits and tools will be provided at the workshop, and kids aged 10 and above are welcome.

The veteran comic book artist, who has been in the industry since 1982, has worked on popular favourites like Spider-Man, Venom, and Batman.

This is the must-attend workshop for fans who appreciate artists with a wide range of art credits and history.

How to Bring Comics into School, the Right Way!

Parents, students, and school professionals are invited to take a comprehensive look at the ways to choose graphic novels for a student library, building comics resources for students, running comic book school clubs, and even how to throw a school-wide comic con.

Join comics educator and art designer Bob Hoffman as he walks students, teachers, and curious convention-goers through the steps of properly introducing comic books, comic strips, and graphic novels into a school or university curriculum.

Hoffman will be providing educational handouts and links, and giving out prizes as he opens up the floor to participants eager to ask questions or share their own experiences.

How To Make a Short Docu-Film in a Language You Don't Understand

Bringing a Universe to Life with Georges Jeanty

Comics professional Georges Jeanty has brought the Buffy the Vampire Slayer universe to life via his artwork. At this hour-long workshop, he'll be working on a piece from start to finish, answering questions about the comics, his career, and more.

Costume Making with Cavin Creations

Hong Kong-based cosplayer from Cavin Creators is returning to MEFCC to bring you some stellar hacks on costume making, especially for a Spider-Man piece!

In this workshop, Dubai Comic Con-goers will be able to learn about techniques on puff painting your fabric and how to assemble your Spider-Man lenses to fabric, etc.

The Art of Colouring with Michael Watkins

Artist and businessman Michael Watkins uses coptic markers and watercolours to tell a story. At his special panel, audience members will learn how important colours are to your storytelling.

Bringing Pop Culture to Life with Jeremy Clark

A Q&A featuring Jeremy Clark's career from indie publishers to the mainstream names. Clark has worked on titles such as Teenager Mutant Ninja Turtles, and MEFCC-goers are welcome to bring their biggest questions about the industry.
