Middle East Film and Comic Con the definitive pop culture festival in the Middle East, announces Hodor from Game of Thrones who will also be performing a DJ Set on the WAVO Mainstage on Saturday April 7th. The original green power ranger Jason David Frank’s MEFCC karate class, Montegrappa’s limited edition Iron Throne pens celebrating the great houses in Game of Thrones, and Huawei’s first appearance at Comic Con showcasing their new Nova 3e ‘superstar’ smartphone with full-view display that is perfect for gamers and binge watching your favourite heroes have also been confirmed.

All that is on top of previously announced celebrities like Natalia Dyer, aka Nancy Wheeler from award-winning drama Stranger Things; Karen Gillan who has featured on the big screen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 and who stars alongside the Rock in her latest film JUMANJI, Doctor Who, Karl Urban, one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood after starring in blockbusters such as the Star Trek Trilogy, Lord of the Rings, Riddick and Thor: Ragnarok; and Adam Kubert, a true comic book royalty famous for his run on Wolverine, Weapon X, The Incredible Hulk, Ultimate X-Men, and Spectacular Spider-Man.

Set to run from 5th to 7th April, 2018, at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) , tickets are on sale now online and at Virgin Megastore outlets across the GCC.

Hold the door for Kristian Nairn aka Hodor in Game of Thrones

Enigmatic Game of Thrones fan favourite Kristian Nairn, who plays Hodor in the series, will feature on this year’s guest list. A self-confessed Comic Con ‘nerd,’ Kristian is an avid fan of comic books, sci-fi, fantasy and horror genres, as well as World of Warcraft, and despite his relatively limited dialogue in Game of Thrones, he’s quite outspoken in real life. He will also be performing a DJ Set on the WAVO Mainstage on Saturday 7th April. The character will definitely bring his renowned energy and famed sense of humour to MEFCC 2018.

Karate class with the Green Power Ranger

The original green Power Ranger, Jason David Frank, will be morphin’ fans into fighters at MEFCC with a special karate masterclass. Wear something comfortable, or even join the class in your cosplay! Whatever your outfit, be ready to learn some tricks of the trade so you can karate chop your way out of a tricky situation. Jason will lead the class through a series of moves and manoeuvers from 4pm on April 7. Don’t miss it!

Hauwei makes its debut appearance at MEFCC & hosts cosplay competition

Huawei will make its debut appearance at Middle East Film & Comic Con this year, bringing the region's largest Cosplay Competition to MEFCC and the chance to have a hands-on experience with the new superstar Huawei Nova 3e smartphone. Cosplayers, comic heroes, gamers and fans will all be able to interact with the superstar smartphone live at their booth and experience game-changing Huawei FullView Display for rich, vivid colours when binge watching their favourite superhero TV shows or playing videos games. Visitors to Huawei's booth will also be able to explore what innovative photography is all about, with features that produce the perfect image every time.

Montegrappa limited edition iron throne collection available at MEFCC

With weeks to go until the event, you can count on MEFCC to announce lots more celebrities and lots more fun activities to take part in at the show. All VIP passes are now sold out and will not be available to buy at the show.
