Stuck for NYE plans? Here's why Ras Al Khaimah should be on top of your list of ideas...

To welcome in 2019, Ras Al Khaimah is planning to host a 12-minute firework display for all to enjoy.

The display, which will be another bid for a Guinness World Record, will happen on Al Marjan Island and will no doubt light up the skies of the emirate.

Promising residents and visitors "the ultimate camping experience", organisers Marjan will be bringing plenty of other things to do as part of the celebrations; including food trucks, ice cream stands, lemonade corners, live music performances and children's activities.

Not only that, there will be stilt walkers, mime artists, clowns and free balloons for guests.

In order to get the best view of the record-breaking fireworks display, Marjan will arrange viewing areas in three main areas for the general public to use on Al Marjan Island; including Al Hamra Village, Al Shohadah Street and Al Wasl Street.

To accommodate the large numbers of the general public that are expected to attend, there will also be special designated parking areas - complete with family-friendly festivities. For those who don't drive, buses will be available from Al Hamra, Mina Al Arab and the Ras Al Khaimah city to all of the three venues.
