Are they any good? Can you cook samosas etc in them?

Any comments greatly appreciated as they are not cheap.

Had a lovely easy dinner of spring rolls and samosas etc last night in the actifry. Did not use the turning hand and they came out great. Thank you for you comments. DH ended up going to get it for me as a Valentine's present :\:

so if you dont put in the turning hand thing, it only bakes the samosa, and doesnt turn it round, right? i use mine all the time, but only have done chips, because it smushes samosa etc, but will give it a go with them. love it

Pepps -I make many of my dishes with one tsp oil or also you can use this without any oil. Since it is non stick nothing burns. Initially when I bought it I was very sceptical but fell in love immediately!! Basically its like frying without the oil and mess, the giant hand inside turns the food so it doesnt burn. I just made some amazing fish fillet also indian style with yogurt in this. MimiM you will also be glad you bought it.

I have been using it since over 6 months as its amazing. I use it for making chicken breast and tofu stir fry.In short its MUCH less hassle than standing over a flame and frying something. The food doesnt burn at all and the machine keeps turningit around on its own!! We love it! So is it good for someone who cant eat fat /oil or very little ? yep

I have it and love it! Yes you can fry samoosas and spring rolls - basically anything you don't wish to deep fry. Just don't use the thing that turns it because I find it crushes the samoosas and they come out skew triangles. Besides that, I don't think I can go back to deep frying anything now that I have the actifry. Such a pleasure to clean up as well.

I have the Actifry too and love chips, wedges, chicken and prawns in it. Never tried samosas but think you could. Best thing is food not greasy and you don't have that leftover frying smell that a deep fat fryer leaves.
