Hi
I may be looking to live in that area.
I was just wondering about cost.
Is electric/ac (chiller)/ water included in the rent price?
It seems that the JBR flats do not in include that in the price and
many places on the other side of the marina do include it.

Also if you do live there, how do you like it?
Cheers
Cristy

The pool is pretty good - but no bar or anything.. there is a pool/ gym per building There is also a gym, sauna, steam and jacuzzi. Kitchen appliances are good too - nice stainless steel bosch american style fridge freezer and oven and a integrated dishwasher and washing machine. did have a slight problem with the shower leaking, but maintenance have fixed this.

Hey SD1, no we dont have access to the beach - thats a downside. We looked at shoreline and went for marina as the apartments are generally bigger and have nicer tiles. fittings etc and a huge balcony terrace. However we dont have any kids, so shoreline is great for this as you have beach access, the kids pools, bars and restaurants and there are loads!!! i mean loads! of kids (the reason we didnt move there, lol) Thanks for the heads up about the kids, that is something that I would wish to avoid. So I guess if there is no beach access then there must be a good pool. I noticed that kitchen appliances were better in the Marina Residences but also wanted to ask if the pools were good and in particular is there one pool per apartment block or do you share?

We moved into Marina Residence 4 on Jan 20. Apartment is nice, but we had to deal with a few issues like flooding in the utility area when we used the washing machine, some electrics not working, MB shower glass was a bit loose, but I guess it comes with a new apartment. Maintenance took quite a while to deal with the issues. The worst was having DU as our Internet/TV/Landline provider (no choice). Our landline only works intermittently and we have made many calls (with our mobile) to complain. 2 days ago when I used the landline (while it worked) to call my mobile, a number I did not recognise showed up on my mobile. Last night, we were all woken up at 11 pm by a DU technician who asked if our phone was working. This morning, a lady who spoke in a foreign language called. Looks to me like they have switched our number with someone else. I dread to see the bill!

Hi, I live on palm jumeriah in marina residence 5 and love it. this year we negotiated with our landlord so he now pays the central charges for the air con (palm utilities) are bills for this are really cheap now. Also our dewa (elec and water) bill is prob around 250aed a month. And we have our washing machine and dishwasher on everyday. laura321 Can I ask you if you have access to the beach from the Marina Residences? I too am thinking of coming onto the Palm and was thinking of the Marina Residences as I have heard that they are good but I can't make my mind up between them and the shoreline apartments. Any comments?
