Looking for feedback about JPS, KS1 and KS2. Please share all your positive and negative experiences. What is the maximum number of students in one class? What are the school hours? Do they offer a good range of ECAs? Do all classes have TAs? What are the wait lists like? Are your children generally happy at the school? Oh, I thought i had a million questions but now I am just blank! Will be posting again. Thanks in advance.

I have been a parent at JPS for the last 9 years and have, on the whole, been very happy with the school. Class sizes have indeed grown from when my kids first started but they seem to have stabilised at 27 now for the older classes - can't comment on the little ones. From Year 4 up, the classes don't have an individual TA but share one with one or two other classes and the younger years have individual TA's. Your experience in a school depends a lot on the individual teacher and I can truly say that we have had some amazing teachers but a couple of dodgy ones as well but you would get this in any school. They offer a really good range of ECA's both free and fee paying but you will pretty much find something for everyone there. My kids have been very happy there which does make life so much easier! For waiting lists etc, you will need to go and in see the registrar. It will be our last year there as my last one is in Year 6 and has a dream teacher this year so we will end our time with JPS on a high note! Good luck with your decision.

My daughter was there for 2 years and I was very happy with the education she recieved. There were 27 children in her class in year one and there was one TA. I'm sure all the classes have a TA. They start at 7.30am and I think they finish around 2pm. They have lots of ECA and the kids were always doing exciting things outside the school. They do rock climbing, swimming, sing and swing concerts, ballet etc. You have to pay for some of the ECA but there are also alot of free ones. Teachers and staff were always very appoachable and my daughter really loved it there. She is now at jebel ali school as we went back to the UK for a while and applied to JPS and JAPS when we got back. JAPS got back first so we went with them as it is also an excellant school. I have a few friends who still have kids at JPS and they all seem really happy with the school. Hope this helps
