I notice the House of Colour has been featured in the Gulf News today and there is a short video on their website- gulfnews.com/gntv (I'm no good at links but it's in the life and sytle section/ tabloid section). The video shows Janet commencing doing one of the male news reporters colours but the principle is the same for men and women. HTH

Thanks so much Jillp - so is this specific to sunglasses or to clothes as well? is there anything i can read on this on the internet - i would love to do the colour consultation but it would cost so much. Sorry for the delay - been away for the weekend. A colour consultation is worth every penny as you will save money in the long run as you won;t make mistakes buying clothes that don't suit you. Google House of Colour Dubai - or contact Janet for further info - [email protected] You won't regret it, she is fabulous, not only giving colour advice, make up tips, style advice and always sells jewellery. Best thing I did in years was seeing her - honestly.

If you have a roundish face, try to pick a shape that is angular (avoid round frames all together), but with oval face (depends on how oval it is too), some roundish shape is ok. As for colors, I think number one thing to consider is what color do you want to see your environment in? And then see if looks good with your whole package. Yes, fashion may keep changing, but your face doesn't, so you need to find something that will suit your face best (shape first, then color) and that they feel comfortable on your face. Good luck with the search!

For colour it sounds as if you should go for autumn tones - browns, brownish green, brownish pruples etc. When I had my colours done at House of Colour it was highlighted to me that the first thing people notice is your face so you should wear glasses that go with your skin tone ie I am winter so black, blue, red purple etc work best for me. Sorry I can't help with shape though.

I was out with a few of my friends and everyone gave me differing opinions on the colour shade of the sunglasses and the shape. So now I am very confused as to whose opinion I should consider. I also narrowed them down to 5 and could not choose myself. Is there a way to know or any sunglasses places that give you the right advise on the right shape and colour for your face, hair and skin colour? I have a round/oval face, fair to olive skin, really dark hair (looks almost black) and very dark eyebrows - apparently some of my friends are saying that the black sunglasses look too harsh on my face and I should go with the dark brown tinted ones, some say blue tint, some say green...arrrrghhhh..and then all say different things about the shape. Also as the fashion keeps changing too.. I dont want to spend AED 700 + and get the wrong ones. please advise?
