We are new to Dubai and are looking for a maid.
I cannot give a full day off a week, as DH insists there is someone around on a Friday morning to cook breakfast, until we can hire a cook. She could have Friday afternoons off though.
What kind of salary shall I expect to pay? I prefer a Filipina I think.

I gather from your response below and your other post enquiring about whether it's okay to wear micro minis around Malls that you are having a laugh. However such poor salaries are paid around and you can't help but think that some of the maids working here much be really desperate (or hungry) to accept it...:( Good luck with your maid hunting and maybe you could invest in some cooking lessons too with the spare cash.;)

well, I shall have to advertise then and see if there are any interested, might raise it to 900 Dirahams That's right push the boat out, you'll have maids flocking at the door for that package, just make sure you mention Mr Lincoln's tackle as well in the ad to be sure. And mention also that it will be illegal for her to wear any underwear whilst working!
