Sorry to have to say this but I think you are way too late for growing tomatoes from seed... . What variety did you get and what is it's 'days to maturity'? also, do you know if yours are a determinate or indeterminate variety? indeterminate varieties are not suitable for pots- they would need to be at least in 25 gallon pots but that is still on the small side for an indeterminate.
I just re-read your post and since you got the seeds from a store bought tomato, it most likely is an indeterminate variety...
Once the night temps are 24C and the day temps reach 32C there will be pollination problems and the plants will not set fruit.
I am growing determinate varieties right now and I re-potted my seedlings in their final pots on February 12th.. they are almost 2 feet tall and am worried the temps will go that high before they get a chance to flower and set fruit - one of the varieties has a better chance than the other just because its suitable for the hotter southern US climates (I bought my seeds from the US) but that doesn't mean during the peak summer months & we will reach their peak summer temperatures before they do!
I think you have a good shot with the chilli plants though :) I ordered a bunch of different chilli seeds from the US & am waiting for them still but excited to try growing them :)

ooohhhh........... carrefour has some fantasic new pots for outdoor plants .. 200 dirham each but fibreglass and gloss/matt finish .. which lead to me buying two 50litre bags of potting compost and a LOAD of garden herbs .....
a week ago I took some seeds out of a shop bought tomato .. de slimed them and potted in the bottom half of a drinks bottle with the top cut off the bottle.. watered and popped the cut off top back on the bottle ... and they have sprouted ....
did the same with a chilli pod seed given to be by one of the chefs at bab al sham ... and they've sprouted too ..
I repotted the Ficus trees - which now look amazing and the house boys no longer need to keep washing the tiles .......
Bought MORE herbs today ......
DANGEROUS thing getting a car .....
