I am considering tagging along with my husband and taking my two little ones to Delhi next month. They are 4 and almost 3 years old. Husband will be working during the day so I'll be alone with my two little guys. Will it be too overwhelming with 2 toddlers in tow? How is the 2 hour train to Agra? Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated! thanks!

I love Delhi and I've been there many times, but I have to say I wouldn't want to do it with two little ones by myself.

I would really recommend u dont do it alone. If your husband is going to all these places with you, its ok, else dont do it with 2 toddlers. Its hot, its very busy (busier that shk zayd rd during rush hour) and its dirty and its very crowded. I personally think its sheer madness to travel to such highly populated countries with small kids. I was there with my 5 month old a couple of yrs back and I definitely wont be going abck in a hurry. Not because the place is bad, but its difficult and its not exactly very safe. And dont even think of going on the metro with kids.. the crowd is too mcuh!

I am assuming you are not from India so the train ride might get a bit tedious depending on which class you travel and which train. Thought I'd give you a few leads. But I haven't been to delhi in a long while, so its best you also recheck the information below and make sure its worth going there now. Delhi Zoo Garden of 5 seasons has a solar run train Colour factory (www.thecolourfactory.in) Rail museum (has / had a real minature sized steam train you could ride) Fun and food village (I've never been, but heard its a water and theme park) Planetarium Deer park Be alert with your kids and belongings - keep them close. There are pick pockets in most of the tourist spots. I don't mean to put you off but just be cautious. Have fun.
