Car hire for the day for visitors - recommendations pls

Hi, I have a friend coming next week who needs to hire a car for the day - could anyone recommend a hire car company with reasonable rates and cars.
We are in Ranches, so if at all possible somewhere near to us (eg Mirdiff City Centre Mall or MOE) would be perfect so that we don't have to drive the other side of town if possible.
