Ours is the size of a vacuum cleaner. We only use it for abayas and shaylas.Could it be useful for dish-dashas? Those take a long time to iron at home...

Lakeland is at Mirdiff City Centre-give them a call first to check if they have them and what price they are

I am hoping to buy one of these too, so will be following this with interest. I want one that has the big tank for water like an iron steam station. Where is Lakeland and would they perhaps have them? Do they have a webpage?

Is it cost saving (in terms of time & DEWA bills ;))?

We bought a small steamer from hyperpanda, a sales offer. Basically for curtains and embroidered fabrics. But I find it pretty useless. Acc. to the manufacturer, you can use it also for glass cleaning, but it will take you hours. Guess it's better to invest in a proper sized one. (Ours has the size of these handy vacuum cleaners.)

You can usually get them for a reasonably good price at the Union Co-Op. We have an iron and a steamer. I think it's like comparing apples and oranges. Some clothes just cannot be ironed so the steamer is required.
