My husband has changed jobs and is now on an Abu dhabi visa. He has been told by someone that we might not be able to rent an apartment in Dubai does anyone know if this is true or not?

Thanks for reply. We live in Dubai and are hoping to stay here, we are in a hotel at the moment waiting to find an apartment, hubby has requested housing allowance from company, which is government, so hopefully they will allow us to stay here.

Sorry but thats not quite true. Some companies will not allow it, you have to live in the same emirate as you work etc. They will not give you the money for the lease/paperwork etc. Knew someone who was in AD and hubs changed jobs to dubai, he was told that he had to move to dubai no exceptions.

Yep, not true, you'll have no problems renting in Dxb with an AD visa.

Absolutely NOT true. Loads of people commute from Dubai to AD every day; my DH is one of them. You only have to look at SZR around half-six in the AM to realise how many people are doing it [and more are doing it all the time'>. :)
