what difference does it make if you are here or there? I don't get that aspect of it. We want to attend 3 different days and have registered using our UK address. Just need to apply now and hope for the best. It is all a lottery so will have to keep our fingers crossed. We fancy seeing the cycling in the velodrome, the rowing and maybe some athletics. it is a once in a lifetime opportunity so although I am no fanatic I think it will be awsome. I suspect it's all to do with security and illegal selling on of tickets abroad. edited by Sticky Wicket on 19/03/2011

Thanks SW! Can you tell me where Greenwich Park is? In the Royal Borough of Greenwich, South East London. Beautiful part of London and home for us *sigh* http://www.ukattraction.com/london/map/greenwich-village-market.htm Oooh, you lucky person, you! OTOH, you might be best out of there in 2012 - all my London friends wish they could leave for the duration and are already being hammered for extra taxes..

I emailed them weeks ago and heard nothing ! Called the number today and the person I spoke to, spoke very little English - I am going to try again tomorrow !! Let me know if you have any luck on how we can obtain some tickets !! I also spoke to this woman today and she told me that the UAE Olympic Committee office is not responsible for selling tickets even though they are listed as such on the London 2012 website. She said to call back tomorrow and she will have the telephone number of the place in Dubai who will be selling the tickets - yep - good luck with that one!

Only if you're resident of the UK or an EU country. Residents elsewhere have to go through their local ticket sellers. There's an email for the UAE.

I said 'sorry'! :D Wild horses couldn't drag me to the festivities, I'm afraid, but then one Olympics is enough in a gal's life, I suspect. Thoroughly enjoyed Sydney 2000 though. So best wishes to all who are indulging in 2012. :)
