We were given 20,000 AED to furnish our 1 bed by DH's company when we moved here - we did it, just. Must admit though most things now need replacing after 3 years, you get what you pay for

depending when you need stuff there will be summer sales happening soon enough. if not then if you go to costless and buy all your applicances there you can haggle for a discount, not so in the likes of car4 etc.
