Does anyone have feedback on this school? DD still doesn't have a FS2 place for September and I'm starting to get anxious.

It's a Taaleem school, so no idea what that is.

DD will eventually be going to a UK based school once we move home, so need her to be in a school here which will make an easy transition when we do leave for the UK.

Unfortunately FS2 is the toughest age group to find school spots in all of Dubai so my advice coming from someone who works in the industry, take any space you are offered. Wellington is very competative as far as cost goes and are actually one of the less expensive schools for what you get in quality education. There's also Wellington Silicon Oasis opening soon........look at that too.

Thanks very much Claire, will check out DBS, Safa and Horizon. Did look at Wellington, v. nice, but very expensive compared to the other schools for FS2. Still def keep them in mind. Guessing all these schools are popular, so will have very long waiting lists for this age group. We could try and put DD's name down for all these, but the cost (non-refundable) deposits just to be considered to be put on a waiting list is shocking!

Thanks girls. Our first choice is JAPS, however, their waiting list is so long, really need to think of a back-up plan. We left it very late really and never expected to be here when DD started school. Kicking myself now. As you say, she is still very young (just turned 4), so a couple of years at this school won't be too bad, better than nothing.

Taleem is the holding company and they have 9 schools under their umbrella. Their schools all have different curriculums including DBS which is British. GCS is relatively new and quite small but I have not heard any negative things about it. The curriculum is a little confusing and I can't say exactly what they follow but it's certainly not the British Curriculum. If you're planning to return to the UK, your LO should really be attending a British curriculum school for a number of reasons but easy transition probably being the biggest reason. Having said that FS is still very early in the education process and if I could not find a place in a school I would certainly opt for a school like GCS short term. Hope this helps!

Greenfield is an IB school so you might want to consider putting your DD into an IGCSE school if you are planning on finishing her schooling in the UK. Taaleem is a group, a bit like Gems. Have you tried Wellington (though they are also now going to IB but I think are still doing IGCSE) Have a look at this link and go through your British curriculum schools http://www.dubaifaqs.com/schools-dubai.php. Good luck
