How are the facilities now in The Villa and Falcon City? Are all the pools and parks open? I have been through all the theads but it seems like things are moving quickly in FC and TV so I am hoping it’s all operational..
I’m currently in Cedre Villas at DSO and we have a few parks and pools to use and there are quite a few supermarkets within walking distance. We’re thinking of moving to somewhere bigger but don’t want to give up the facilities and nice community atmosphere!
Appreciate any input!

I would be amazed if a pool went in, delighted if it did happen. But am pretty certain that it was asked at the residents meeting pre christmas and the reponse was that there were no plans for a community pool. That would be a shame .. . . this guy I spoke to seemed absolutely definate but of course this is Dubai and I have been here long enough to know that things very rarely happen when they say they will !!!

Is the park at The Villa not very well equipped? I don't know if I'd give up the facilities for a bigger place now (I think I would have before). My daughter lives in the pool and the park and I don't think I'd have gotten to know many of the neighbours if it wasn't for the facilities! Exactly the argument that I have with my DH. He wants to move to a bigger villa with a private pool, but I would prefer community facilities for the kids, particularly the LO who has years until he goes to school. Playing on the backyard on his own won't be that fun IMO! The playground that I saw was small and unshaded.

There's a few compounds in Dubai called Cordoba Villas. There's one in The Villa and I think part of Ranches is Cordoba, can't remember The ones in Knowledge Village were fab (next to the Arenco/Pilots Villas and Dubai College) but if you want 4/5 bed they're pricey and there was always a long waiting list because of the location. Really nice fixture and fittings and nice landscaping. Small park but no pool. But was so close to everything, really loved living there

Really appreciate the update! I guess we'll stay put. Don't hold your breath for DP, we lived in Cordoba Villas in Knowledge Village for 3 years (fantastic villas!) and the pool and community centre never materialised! I was driving down Al Sufouh the other day and they'd finished the community centre building...and put a sign up saying 'for lease'! Many thanks ladies I didnt relise Cordoba villas are in knowledge village...are they all cordoba or are there any bigger ones ? I bet they ask for more money down that end of town.

We asked DP about pools in the villa and they said "its in the plans" so that could mean never, or certainly not in the forseeable future.

No community facilities in Falcon city either and no prospect of them in the forseeable future.

There are no community facilities at The Villa other than a not very well thought out park. Not aware that they will ever be building a community type pool and as for a shop, well we were told last December that one would be completed by May.... no sign of it yet even being started.
