Outside lights went off, failed to turn back on. Emailed landlord who sent maintenance around. Turned on lights - worked! They made me do it 10 times "just to check they are still working, ma'am."

Friend had workers round for 3 hours trying to figure out what the noise in her bathroom was, She wouldn't let them leave until it was sorted as she was scared electric lights were going to cause a fire while she was out. 3 hours later, Turns out her electric toothbrush was turned on :) And we wonder why repair men talk to us like we are idiots...... :\:

I have AC men in checking all gasses etc, I have a small (ish) dog barks a lot does not like strangers much. Dog is on the leash handle under my chair, I sit on chair all is good, AC man calls me, I get up to speak to him - dog and chair follow AC man bolting for the front door. Poor Guy.

When i lived in london, i called the electrician to come and fix teh extraxctor fan hood on the cooker - he plugged it in and surpirse surprise it worked. (my flat mate had unplugged it) :)

I have been nagging DH for 6 weeks (yes 6 weeks) to get the maintainance guys in to look at the AC in our of our spare bedroom becasue it doesn't work. We're getting visitors on Friday so he's finally sucumbed and got them in yesterday (he also put up the mirror that's been leaning against the wall for three months, pending a trip to Satwa to buy a chain...we live 10 mins from Satwa). They came, armed with their tools etc and , er, they opened the vents. Oooopps!!! :)
